Pre School
3 to 4 Years of Age
Building on the principles of the centers philosophy our preschoolers enjoy a variety of self-exploration opportunities with the carefully selected age appropriate equipment and materials from their classroom environment. From the manipulatives that enhance fine and gross/large motor skills to the well appointed outdoor exploration center, our preschool students are engaged in purposeful play and socialization. Teachers create weekly lesson plans that promote letter recognition, math concepts, emotional competency and social awareness skills. Communication skills during this time of a child’s life are crucial in the development of expressing of abstract and critical thinking as well as conflict
resolution. Following a daily schedule that meets child’s need for structure and opportunities to explore individual interests helps promotes a healthy learning environment.
